The power of chia

So I am super stoked to have been picked by Chia Charge© to become one of their influencers. I will be working with the company, giving them reviews and creative ideas on how to use their products I will be blogging on how I use chia in my everyday life and during my training.

I have been mad into chia seeds since I read Born to run, it has been a constant store cupboard necessity and goes in pretty much anything I can throw it into. They are packed full of nutrients and give you a good whack of omega 3 fatty acids, protein and dietary fibre. Chia Charge© bars have been my go to bar for the last few years as they actually taste like real food and don’t dry your mouth out like other chew bars. I inhale their Original sea salt flapjacks.

One of my favourite ways to have chia is a traditional Mexican way

Chia fresca or Iskiate

  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 300ml water
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp honey


Best to be left for 2-3 hours but still just as good after 30-40 mins

Whack all the ingredients in a jar or bottle give it a good mix and let it sit in the fridge for designated time.
